El Procyon combina algunas características excelentes en una pluma discreta. Desde fuera se trata de un diseño bastante minimalista, pero con algunos acabados llamativos.
El "Showa Sanshoku (tres colores de Showa)", el "Taisho Sanshoku (tres colores de Taisho)" y el "Kohaku (rojo y blanco)", las populares variedades de carpas Nishikigoi, se ilustran sobre el famoso patrón acuático de Ogata Korin. Cuenta la leyenda que las carpas pueden transformarse en un poderoso dragón nadando río arriba contra la fuerte corriente y saltando la "puerta del dragón". Por ello, la imagen de una carpa saltando la puerta se considera un símbolo de éxito.
